The article was a very interesting read. It gave me many things to think about such as when you realize that you are an adult. I do not consider myself an adult yet. I believe that you are an adult when you get a real job, you start paying for bills, or most obviously when you are responsible for another person, like a kid or a wife.
Everyone has their opinion to when you become an adult, I do not agree with the opinion of the author, but I agree with the author saying that we know when we stop being a child and become men and women. According to the author life was much easier back then when all you needed was a high school degree, then you got a job, a wife, a kid, nothing to worry about as soon as you got a job after high school. Now a days in most good jobs a bachelor degree is not enough to get those positions, which causes most people to put relationships on hold. Those people would be considered adults since most have a job to pay for schooling, and have some sort of bills to pay for.
I do not believe that the author is qualified to be saying at what point you become an adult. This is America though and they have the right to their own opinion. Overall I enjoyed reading the article and would recommend it to those people who enjoy to think about this type of material.
