The article features inside perspective of how it was to be a women inside the largest comic book convention known as San Diego Comic Con. Kate and her friend were interested in seeing the Marvel panel so they had to line up at 3 am, and wait the whole day until the panel. As the day progressed and panels came and went, Kate began to feel overwhelmed, at the fact that it was just mainly white men in the panel and the audience. Kate and her friend both agreed on the fact that it was all men and they were upset. Even while waiting in line she heard sexist and ignorant comments from white men. She felt this way until the panel about women in the industry.
The panel showed the pathos in the paper fully revealed, and you felt moved by the words that the women said. The pathos was showed before but not as deeply revealed until this part. The women began to talk about the worst experiences that they had, and what they thought about the industry.
The ethos was also there in the fact that ethics of women being cast to play male written scripts was shown. Ethics is defending the fact that women can also be leaders in the industry and not just the guinea pigs of the industry.
Logos was clear in the fact that it is logical to treat all equally. That includes women being able to be cast in same scene and they are capble in catching up with the men in the roles.
This article was written in 2013, and even though almost 3 years have past pretty much everything is still the same. A-list women celebrities still get paid significantly less then the male co stars. Also in big budget movies the main characters are usually white celebrities, like The Avenger, Star Wars, Batman v.s. Superman. Nothing has changed, but hopefully it slowly evolves into something better for all people.
